The global leader in the toy
industry, employing a dual Asian and domestic folding carton sourcing
strategy, desired to change both graphics and paperboard substrate to
appeal to the growing sustainability demands of their customers.

Significant formula
differences in off shore PMS color matching (learned from past
experiences with common SBS paperboard) were complicated with the added
variable of significant differences in special grades of CRB. In
response, SPBCo employed the services of long time business partners
within the supply chain. A domestic supplier of this special CRB grade
was chosen and resulting rounds of ink drawdowns matched pre-printed
Asian packaging. The customer was able to go to market with a consistent
retail shelf presence.
